May 28 - Celebrate Memorial Day weekend at the City of Fort Lauderdale’s 2nd Annual Great American Beach Party, "Decades of Distinction," on Saturday, May 28 beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard.

Highlights include live music, family games and contests, a sandcastle contest, a classic car show, an art show, a Fort Lauderdale history exhibit, a special appearance by the U.S. Army's Black Daggers parachute team and a screening of Girl Happy.
